Best Friends
Animal Society
Best Friends Animal Society is
the largest animal sanctuary in
the nation and is located in
Kanab, Utah. Best Friends
believes that how we treat
animals, the Earth and each
other is the best reflection of
who we are as a society. We
focus on animals that are
injured or abandoned, have
special needs, or are considered
“unadoptable” by others. Best
Friends provides expert medical
care, rehabilitation services,
behavioral assistance and
emergency aid when necessary.
Best Friends
Animal Society is working with
shelters, rescue groups and our
members nationwide to bring
about a time when there will be
no more homeless pets. Best
Friends provides adoption,
spay/neuter, and educational
programs; and publishes Best
Friends, the nation’s largest
general-interest animal
magazine.

Andrew
Prendeville
Andrew Prendeville was born on Oct. 5, 1981 in
Summit, N.J., and he was raised in Chatham, N.J.
At the conclusion of the 2007 racing season he
relocated from Morristown, N.J., to his new home
in
Las Vegas, NV.
After graduation from Chatham
High School in 2000 he completed his freshman
year at Lynchburg College in Virginia. At that
point he put his formal schooling on hold, and
served as an instructor for other race car
drivers while pursuing opportunities for his own
racing career. He lived in both Pittsburgh and
Columbus temporarily prior to making
the move from New Jersey to Nevada in 2007.
In 2002 he won the
prestigious SCCA Valvoline Runoffs National
Championship in the Formula Continental division
and was crowned 2002 co-Rookie of the Year for
the SCCA. He finished second in the Cooper Tires
Formula 2000 National Championship in 2004. He
advanced to the Indy Pro Series, the official
development series of IndyCar, in 2007 with
RLR/Andersen Racing. He recorded four top-five
finishes, including a best finish of third in
the second Infineon race, and seven top-10s in
his rookie Indy Pro Series season.
Prendeville got his start in the sport at the
age of 10 by racing karts. He drove an actual
race car for the first time with the Bertil Roos
School in 2001. He has gone on to be a popular
instructor at that same school for over five
years.
Prendeville is a firm believer in the value of
self-education. He reads extensively, and he’s
found the traveling he’s done
to be enlightening. By the end of the 2007
season his travels had taken him to 42 states in
the United States as well
as parts of Canada, England, Ireland and
Northern Ireland.
As well as driving professionally, Andrew has
also been instructing at The Bertil Roos Racing
School for the past
5 years.
For the 2008 Season, Andrew will be driving for
RLR Andersen Racing in the Firestone Indy
Lights.
